Creators
Protect what you create, wherever you are, in minutes. No lawyer, no paperwork, and without ever disclosing your work.
Protecting ideas, not just companies
Why we built this tool.
Asserting your rights over your own work has become harder, not easier: creations spread fast, get copied effortlessly, and the burden of proof stays on whoever created them. That's an inequality of means, not of rights.
Ipocamp makes available to everyone what until now only large organizations could arrange: a fingerprint of your file computed on your machine, timestamped by a qualified authority, published in a registry no one can rewrite. Your work itself stays on your computer by default — subscribers can also choose to entrust it to us, encrypted, for better organizing their deposits.
The resulting certificate is verifiable by anyone, anywhere, without an account and without going through us. It never expires.
Simple
No legal expertise required. A browser, a drag-and-drop, a certificate. Copyright arises from creation itself — you just need to date the proof of it.
Affordable
No lawyer to file, no subscription to keep it. You pay for the proof once; it stays valid and verifiable for life.
Solid
Cryptographic fingerprint, secure timestamping, tamper-proof registry. Admissible in civil matters under Article 1358 of the French Civil Code.
What you can protect
Anything that fits in a file
The format doesn't matter: it's the file's fingerprint that gets certified, never its content. Up to 2 GB per deposit without an account — unlimited with a subscription — and a compressed archive to certify a whole set at once.
…and everything else. Databases, blueprints, mockups, correspondence, confidential documentation: if it exists as a file, it can be certified.
What it changes
Four concrete differences
Beyond the certificate itself, what dating your work actually changes — day to day, and on the day things go wrong.
No one can stop you from using your own idea
A large group or an opportunistic filer has more resources and more lawyers than you. But if they can't dispute your date, the money they spent on filings counts for nothing against it. Prior existence can't be bought.
Peace of mind while you create
Knowing every version is dated changes how you work: you show your work earlier, you test more widely, you waste less time wondering what you can reveal and to whom.
Share without exposing yourself
An idea is meant to circulate — to get feedback, find collaborators, approach a publisher. Signaling that it's registered deters most bad-faith behavior before it even happens.
Independent, but not alone
When things go wrong, a dedicated lawyer quickly assesses the infringement, and IP insurance funds what an independent activity can't fund alone: expertise, procedure, recourse — with an account and then a subscription, under conditions.
Use cases
The most common situations
The same deposit serves different needs depending on what you're protecting and against what. Three recurring cases for this profile — see all seven.
